Abstract Submission Guidelines

Authors who are not interested in submitting a manuscript for publication are welcome to submit a one-page abstract for presentation only.

Please note that an author of an accepted abstract must register for, attend, and present at the ISPCS 2026 Symposium. Accepted abstracts must be submitted to the Abstract-Only Submission Track and, if accepted, will be scheduled for presentation only.

Accepted abstracts will not be submitted for publication in IEEE Xplore or indexed by EI/Compendex.

Prospective authors are invited to submit a one-page abstract describing the proposed technical content and applicable research results using the EDAS online submission system, selecting the Abstract-Only Track.

The abstract should:

  • Describe the significance of the contribution

  • Summarize key technical or research results

  • Include a list of key references

Submission of an abstract implies the author’s willingness to register for ISPCS 2026 and present the work if the abstract is accepted.

Abstracts will be reviewed by the Technical Program Committee. Authors of accepted abstracts must submit a final version by the deadline, register for the Symposium, and present their work. The maximum length for final abstracts is one page, excluding references.

Each lead author must create an EDAS account and submit their abstract through the system.

Steps to create an EDAS account:

  1. Visit the EDAS submission portal and click New User.

  2. Create your profile. Only the required fields marked with a red asterisk must be completed:

    • First and last name

    • Affiliation (company or organization)

    • Country

    • Email address

    • Status

  3. Accept the Privacy Policies and click Add Person.

    • If you select the USA as your country, you will be prompted to enter your state.

  4. You will receive an email with your assigned password.

  5. Return to the EDAS login page and change your password under My Profile.

    • Be sure to save your username, password, and ID number for future reference.

Guidelines for Presentation Only Summary Submission:

The use of artificial intelligence (AI)–generated text in an article shall be disclosed in the acknowledgements section of any paper submitted to an IEEE Conference or Periodical. The sections of the paper that use AI-generated text shall have a citation to the AI system used to generate the text.

Format for Accepted Presentation Only Abstracts

Final summaries must be submitted following the IEEE conference templates here.  

  • Style Manual (use A4 format in latex or word)

  • The maximum number of pages is 1, including title page and references

Using the IEEE template is mandatory, and any variation from the IEEE template may lead to immediate rejection of your paper by the system.

Please read carefully the following information concerning the registration procedure that is presented in the Author Instructions, especially if you are the prospective presenter of an accepted abstract. An accepted abstract will be presented during the conference if the full-fee registration payment for one of the authors is received and correctly processed by August 15, 2026 – no exceptions. In addition, the author must attend the conference and present the work.

Only member or non-member fees are allowed to cover an accepted abstract. To qualify for member rates, the membership number must be provided in the registration form. 

2. Upload your 1-page PDF summary to EDAS

  1. Log in at https://edas.info/N35129

  2. Select the “My Papers” tab

  3. Select the submission title for which you wish to upload the summary

  4. Specify the presenter and complete the presenter’s biography form – Please declare who will be presenting the paper at the conference. Once in your paper record, click the Change/Add icon in the Presenter row. Indicate who will present the paper and click Choose presenter. Presenters must fill out a short bio (50-word max) on EDAS by going to the ‘My Profile’ tab and filling in the information in the ‘Brief bio’ field. Information in this form will be used by the session chairperson to introduce the presenter.

  5. Upload your final summary – Bypass the “Review Manuscript” option in your EDAS paper record and upload your paper directly to “Final Summary” by selecting the upload icon. Submissions are due by August 15, 2026.

4. Presentation Submission

  • Submit your presentation slides via EDAS no later than September 15, 2026. Should you make changes to your presentation following submission, you must bring your presentation on USB and upload it directly to the presentation computer prior to your scheduled session.
